I got a call from a guy staying at Coronado Shores, one of the high-rise towers right on the beach. He had driven down from the LA area and his 2001 Lexus IS remote head key had been getting progressively worse over the trip. By the time he parked in the building's garage, the range was maybe three feet. He had to walk up and point the fob at the door handle to get a response. We tested the lock, unlock, and trunk release, did three start cycles to confirm the transponder was reading normally, and that was it. Done in the parking structure before he had to be anywhere.
