He landed after a consulting trip, walked to the airport lot where he'd left his car, and his 2006 Nissan Maxima wouldn't respond to the Intelligent Key because the CR1616 battery in the fob was dead. The car was locked, the emergency blade was inside his laptop bag in the trunk, and the trunk wouldn't pop without the fob signal. The problem was just the dead battery killing the remote signal and push-to-start wake. His REMOTE-HEAD-KEY with FCC ID CWTWB1U751 was working again after a CR1616 swap and a quick reprogram to clear the fault. I gave him a spare battery for the console too.
He drove home that morning. Total was $185. Dealer would have been $395 plus $185 in towing.
