Push-to-start all-keys-lost is the job that scares most Nissan owners the most. No physical key slot visible, no way to turn an ignition. The car needs to wirelessly detect a fob programmed to its specific immobilizer before it will even wake up. If that fob is gone, the car feels bricked, but it isn't.
A family at a national forest campground outside San Ysidro had a 2017 Nissan Maxima with push-to-start and zero keys. They were an hour from town with no cell service until they hiked to the ranger station. They'd been told by multiple people that Intelligent Key all-keys-lost was dealer-only.
I drove out to the campground. Push-to-start AKL is more involved than a standard transponder job because the immobilizer needs to be accessed and old key data cleared before new fobs can learn. I used my ACDP to pull the immobilizer data as a safety backup, then ran the AKL sequence through OBD. His Intelligent Key, FCC ID KR5S180144014, was a 5-button proximity fob.
Their car started at a campground with no cell service and no dealer within an hour. Total was around $259. Dealer would have been $444 plus a long-distance tow. Intelligent Key AKL isn't dealer-only. It's tool-dependent.

“My car keys were stolen on a cold evening and Nick drove all the way out to Santa Barbara. He got into my car, made a new key, and charged $100 less than another company. Friendly, skilled, trustworthy, and genuinely caring. Nick is a hero.”
“Tim is a hero. He programmed a master proximity key for a newer Volkswagen that multiple locksmiths refused to touch. He spent hours until late at night making sure every function worked perfectly. The skill level here is incredible.”
“Very professional and extremely affordable. The price was literally about three times cheaper than what my dealership quoted me. Fast service and no stress at all. Highly recommend.”
