2012 Nissan Maxima
Key Replacement - Save vs Dealer in San Diego

2012 Nissan Maxima Smart Key Replacement - Fast, Affordable & Professional

The GPS pin landed in Alpine Village, which is a tighter, older pocket of Alpine where the streets get narrow and the addresses are not always obvious to someone driving in from outside.

The owner of a 2012 Nissan Maxima had been home all morning, reached into a jacket he had not worn in weeks, and found his only Intelligent Key fob was gone. He had no idea where it went and no spare.

He found me before he called the dealer, which saved him a tow and most of a day.

I pulled up with his fob hardware already in the van. We stood at the curb while I built the replacement on the spot, registered it to his vehicle through the diagnostic port, and verified every function: touch unlock on both front handles, the trunk release, the remote lock and unlock, and the push-to-start. The whole thing took less time than a dealer would spend just writing up the repair order.

He mentioned he had looked up dealer pricing the night before and decided against it before he even called them. Smart move. He paid a fraction of what they wanted, and he never left Alpine Village.
