2002 Acura RSX Remote Replacement - Fast, Affordable & Professional
I was already wrapping up a job in Ventura on a Friday when the call came in from the Juanamaria neighborhood. A guy had snapped his key in the ignition. Not the blade all the way in, just enough of a break at the shoulder that the remaining stub turned freely without catching. Car was sitting in his driveway going nowhere.
He'd already called the dealer. Monday earliest, parts needed, whole thing. He asked if I even carried blanks for a 2002 RSX. I told him to check his driveway in fifteen minutes.
The key blade blank was in a labeled drawer in the van. I extracted the broken stub, cut the new blade to his lock profile, and ran the transponder programming on site. The immobilizer accepted the new key on the first attempt. He turned it over himself to make sure, then sat there for a second like he was expecting something else to go wrong.
Nothing did. He drove to get dinner. The dealer comparison came up on its own when he asked what the damage was. I kept it simple: a fraction of what they quoted, done that night instead of sometime next week.
When the van is stocked right, a Friday evening in Juanamaria is no different from a Tuesday morning.
