Got a call from a woman near Port Hueneme Beach Park who needed a spare smart key for her 2019 Genesis G80. I programmed the new one through the OBD-II port, synced the passive entry antennas, then walked the car testing every door handle for touch-to-lock and touch-to-unlock. Opened and closed the trunk from the fob and from the button. Started it, shut it off, started it again.
She watched the whole thing and asked good questions. That part I liked.
The dealer had quoted her a number that included a diagnostic appointment weeks out. I was done in her parking lot in about 40 minutes for a fraction of what they wanted.
