Up in the Riviera, the driveways are tight and steep, and a lot of the people who live there are not the type to call the dealer first. This particular owner had been getting a warning on the dash for about a week, on and off, nothing consistent. Some mornings the G80 started without a thought. Other mornings the start button just sat there glowing red at him.
He had already replaced the CR2032 himself. New battery, name-brand, fresh from the hardware store on State Street. It helped for maybe three days, then the same thing came back. That's when he called me.
