He needed his medication from the pharmacy and his car wouldn't start. His 2010 Honda Odyssey key fob had stopped working in the pharmacy lot in Oxnard. He pressed the button and nothing happened. I got the door open and plugged my IM608 into the OBD port. His remote head key uses a separate remote fob, FCC ID OUCG8D-380H-A, and a transponder blade. The old fob's CR1616 battery was dead and the transponder had lost sync after a jump start earlier that week. I replaced the fob battery, reprogrammed the transponder through OBD, and tested every function. I also walked him through the backup start procedure on his Odyssey in case a fob ever died on him again.

From his phone call to his engine running was 40 minutes, and it cost 96. The dealer wanted 211 and a next-day appointment. He made it to the pharmacy, got his prescription, and went home.
