I got a call from a physical therapist with a full afternoon schedule, her 2006 Odyssey sitting in the lot near Serra Cross/Grant Park and not going anywhere useful. She had tried swapping the battery in her remote head key the night before and something had gone sideways. I straightened the contact, reseated the battery, and re-snapped the housing correctly. Then I connected through the OBD port and re-registered the key to the vehicle so it was fully recognized by the immobilizer again. Walked every button. Locks, both sliding doors, the back hatch. All working.

She came out between patients to two tested, working keys on her center console. The car never left the lot. She mentioned the dealer had quoted her significantly more and would have needed the car dropped off, which would have meant canceling her afternoon entirely. That is the whole math on why mobile exists.
