A woman called me from the parking area near Downtown Ojai, across from the arcade of shops on Ojai Avenue. She had her 1997 Odyssey, a full load of farmers market bags, and a fob that had stopped locking the doors two days prior. She had been ready to go to the dealer and order a whole new remote. The factory fob part number alone at a Honda dealer is not cheap, and they typically want to verify the vehicle before ordering, which means a visit before the visit. She saved a good chunk by not going that route.
The whole stop took about fifteen minutes. She loaded her bags and headed home before the avocados could get any warmer.
