2015 Jaguar XF Smart Key Replacement - Fast, Affordable & Professional
A guy staying near Wheeler Hot Springs in Ojai lost his only smart key somewhere on the back nine of a golf course during a vacation round. Course staff searched. Nothing turned up. His 2015 Jaguar XF was sitting in the lot with his hotel key card locked in the center console.
He called the Jaguar dealer first. Earliest appointment was the following Monday. It was Wednesday morning.
Then he called me.
I got out there in about 40 minutes. His XF was the X250 generation, which uses the KOBJTF10A fob with the Hitag Pro chip and a HU101 emergency blade. All keys lost, so I connected my Smart Pro to the OBD port, pulled the immobilizer data from the SPC5 module, and started the programming sequence. Cut the emergency blade, registered the new fob, and wiped the old lost key so nobody could walk up and start his car with it.
Then the testing loop. Lock from ten feet. Unlock. Trunk release. Headlamp flash. Push to start with the fob in my pocket, then on the dash, then in the center console. Walked every door handle for passive entry. All five buttons, every scenario.
He stood there watching the whole thing and didn't say much until the engine turned over. Then he just nodded and said he had an afternoon tee time to make.
The dealer would have eaten five days of his vacation. I took about an hour of his Wednesday.
