Yes, broken key extraction is a standard mobile job. I use dedicated extraction tools to pull the broken piece out without damaging the ignition cylinder.

Once it's out, I can decode the blade fragment or pull the key code from the lock directly, cut a new key, and program the transponder chip on site. That's why a key cut at a hardware store that didn't include chip programming will crank the car and then kill it immediately. The blade is right. The authorization never came.
