Got a call around 9:15 on a Tuesday night from someone stuck outside a clinic on Gonzales Road in Oxnard. Their 2009 Pontiac G5 key had snapped right at the bow, half the blade still jammed in the ignition. The car was dead to them. Dealer was closed five hours ago. Two other locksmiths didn't pick up.

Three learn cycles, about 30 minutes of wait time built into the procedure. While the car sat through each 10-minute countdown, we just talked about how the G5 is basically a rebadged Cobalt and how GM quietly killed Pontiac the same year this car rolled out.
