2004 Cadillac Escalade Remote Replacement - Fast, Affordable & Professional
A woman drove into the Sam's Club parking lot off Highland Avenue in Downtown National City and her Escalade just sat there after she turned it off. Not a dead battery, not a tow situation. She had a working key. She just needed a spare because her only fob had a crack running through the back casing and she knew she was one bad day from being stranded.
She had already called the Cadillac dealer. They told her to bring it in, quoted her a number that made her set the phone down for a second, and said they could get to it sometime that week. She has a job. She doesn't have "sometime that week."
Her neighbor had my number.
I pulled up next to the Escalade, connected my programming tool to the OBD port under the dash, and verified the existing fob was still active in the system. It was. I cut a new key blade to match, loaded the new fob's remote and transponder credentials into the vehicle, and walked through every button. Lock, unlock, trunk release. Then I cranked the engine twice to confirm the immobilizer handshake was solid on the new unit.
Start to finish, about 25 minutes. She kept her afternoon. The dealer comparison came up once, briefly, and I just told her I hear that number a lot around here.
