2006 Cadillac Escalade
Key Replacement - Save vs Dealer in San Diego

2006 Cadillac Escalade Remote Replacement - Fast, Affordable & Professional

A guy in Blossom Valley called on a Tuesday afternoon. He had one working fob left on his 2006 Escalade and his wife had taken the other one somewhere it never came back from. He wanted a spare cut and programmed before he ended up stranded. No urgency yet, just smart planning before the one remaining fob became the problem.

He had already called the Cadillac dealer. They told him to bring the truck in, and the quote made him pause long enough to look for other options.

I pulled up to his place, popped my service van, and decoded the door lock to get the key cut dialed in without needing the original blade. The factory fob ID matched what I carry stock for this generation, so I had a matching shell and blade ready to cut on site. Programming went through the OBD port in the driver footwell. With a working key already present, the relearn was clean, no drama.

I walked him through testing both fobs before I packed up. Lock, unlock, both remotes responding, truck starting off either key. Done in about 40 minutes in his parking lot.

He saved a good chunk versus what the dealer quoted, and the truck never left Blossom Valley.
