2010 Honda FIT Remote Head Key Replacement - Fast, Affordable & Professional
I was parked near the coin laundry off Bay Marina when a rideshare driver flagged me down. He'd already been through it once.
Called one of those $49 Google ad locksmiths, the guy showed up, charged him a number that made my eyes go wide, and handed back a key that would start the car but had completely dead remote buttons. Four buttons, zero response. The driver had been manually unlocking and locking for two weeks.
The first thing he asked me, before I even opened the van door, was how he could verify I was actually licensed. Fair. I gave him my BSIS license number right on the phone call and told him to pull up the state database while we talked. He did. Took about forty-five seconds and he seemed to visibly relax.
I connected to the OBD port, ran the immobilizer sequence to clear out whatever the previous guy had done halfway, and registered the fob clean. All four buttons came back. Lock, unlock, trunk, panic. Tested each one twice before I called it done.
He said the dealer quoted him a number he couldn't afford, the first locksmith charged him more than that and left the job broken, and I came in under both for a finished result. He didn't need to hear a sales pitch. He just needed it to work.
