Out near the RB Town Center, I got a call from a woman who had already been sitting in a parking lot for forty minutes before she reached me. Her 2015 Honda FIT would not acknowledge the fob at all. Everything came back clean. She did not need a new fob, did not need programming, did not need a dealer appointment that would have eaten half her afternoon. The dealer, for context, had been her next call. She found out afterward they would have started by ordering a replacement fob, which is their default when they cannot immediately diagnose it over the phone.

She drove out of the lot in under thirty minutes from when I arrived.
