2010 Subaru Impreza Transponder Key Replacement - Fast, Affordable & Professional
No key at all? I get these calls all the time. A lot of Subaru owners only ever had one key, especially used car buyers. When it's gone, it's gone. I build a new one from scratch right at the car.
A kayaker at the state beach lot outside Oceanside lost his only key somewhere between the launch ramp and his car. He searched for half an hour, checked with the lifeguard station, nothing. His 2010 Subaru Impreza was sitting in the lot and he had no way to open it. He figured it was stuck until a tow could bring it to the dealer. I told him I could be there that afternoon.
I started with my DAT17 Lishi. It picks and decodes Subaru's side-milled lock by reading each wafer position so I can cut an exact blade without the original. Then I connected through OBD and ran the all-keys-lost sequence, which clears previous keys and learns the new one as primary. His Transponder Key, FCC ID , was cut, programmed, and tested right there.
His car started in the same beach lot. Total was around $125. Dealer wanted $298 plus a tow. Lock decode to engine running took about 45 minutes.

Lockout to Five-Star Review
Lost key panic turned to five-star praise
“My Chevy key snapped while I was running errands in North Oxnard. He removed the broken piece from the ignition, cut a new blade, programmed the transponder, and tested everything thoroughly. The whole job was smooth and professional. Best automotive locksmith I have used.”
“My car keys were stolen on a cold evening and Nick drove all the way out to Santa Barbara. He got into my car, made a new key, and charged $100 less than another company. Friendly, skilled, trustworthy, and genuinely caring. Nick is a hero.”
“Tim is a hero. He programmed a master proximity key for a newer Volkswagen that multiple locksmiths refused to touch. He spent hours until late at night making sure every function worked perfectly. The skill level here is incredible.”
