Worst case on a 2002 Toyota Land Cruiser is a smart key all-keys-lost where the car had a dead battery or a low-voltage event that scrambled the immobilizer communication. Total was about 90 minutes. His bill was $185. The alternative was a flatbed to the dealer, a multi-day wait, and $395 or more. I carry the bench tools for exactly these situations where the first locksmith's attempt left the car in worse shape.
