I got a call from a tire shop in Spring Valley, right off the edge of Spring Valley Village. A Land Cruiser had come in for routine work and ended up stranded.

Once I had a clean read and the fault cleared, the rest went by the numbers. The fob registered on the first attempt. I tested door handle touch unlock on both sides, confirmed the start button, walked the remaining buttons. Everything came back.

The owner did not say much even then. Just a nod and "how much." The tire shop guys watched the whole bench setup with actual interest, which I appreciated.

Ninety minutes total from the time I pulled up. The alternative was a flatbed ride to the dealer, a multi-day wait while they sorted out parts and scheduling, and a bill that would have been painful. He saved a good chunk by not going that route.
