I got a call from a tire shop in Spring Valley, right off the edge of Spring Valley Village. A Land Cruiser had come in for routine work and ended up stranded.
The situation was already messy before I arrived. Another locksmith had been called out to program a replacement smart key for the owner. The owner did not say much even then. Just a nod and "how much." The tire shop guys watched the whole bench setup with actual interest, which I appreciated.
Ninety minutes total from the time I pulled up. The alternative was a flatbed ride to the dealer, a multi-day wait while they sorted out parts and scheduling, and a bill that would have been painful. He saved a good chunk by not going that route.
