I was parked near the Shadowridge area of Vista when the call came in. A woman had walked out of the Walgreens off Shadowridge Drive, hit the door handle, and nothing happened. I reset the clips, dropped in the correct CR1632, seated it properly, and closed the shell. The door handle responded on the first touch. We walked both front handles, the rear handles, and the start button to confirm everything was reading correctly. Total time on site was under twenty minutes.
She had been ready to buy a whole new fob and pay dealer programming rates. She did not need any of that. Just the right cell and someone who knew to look at the clips before calling it a dead key.
