It was before six in the morning when the call came in from Buena Creek. A guy was already at the supply store lot on the Vista side, crew truck idling nearby, and his Land Cruiser would not acknowledge the fob at all. Push-button did nothing. The system had also thrown a key-not-detected condition that needed to be cleared through the diagnostic port before the fob would register cleanly again, so I connected the tool and walked it through. Total hands-on time was around 25 minutes.
He was in the cab and following the crew out of the lot before 6:30. He asked what the dealer would have done. I told him they would have called it a key programming job, started a work order, and probably kept the truck until afternoon. He just nodded and drove off.
