I cleared the failed registration, ran a clean immobilizer reset with the full security sequence, and confirmed the new key was permanently stored. His key with remote, FCC ID , started the engine clean with no fuel cutoff.

He paid me $137. The dealer charges $318 for the same work. He had already paid the first locksmith too, which was money gone. What I could do was get it right this time and show him the IM608 screen confirming the key was permanently registered to his car's immobilizer. That confirmation screen is the proof that the job is actually done, not just attempted.
