A resident in a gated community near RB Town Center in Rancho Bernardo called me on a Sunday afternoon. His 2014 Prius was sitting in guest parking inside the complex and would not start.

The key-not-detected warning was showing, the touch unlock on the door handles had stopped responding, and his backup plan, calling a tow company, fell apart fast. He hadn't called a tow. Hadn't waited until Monday. Hadn't paid dealer prices. His car never left the spot. I walked in through a gate, sorted it on site, and walked out. That's the job.
