A recent college grad at a private gym lot near Round Mountain Trail in Camarillo had just bought a used 2010 Audi Q5 from a friend of a friend. Great condition, fair price, one smart key. I met him at the gym before his workout. His Q5 ran the IYZFBSB802 fob with the HU66 emergency blade and a Megamos 48 CAN chip talking to the BCM2 immobilizer module. I used my VVDI2 to pull the transponder data from his working key and clone it to a fresh chip blank. The VVDI2 reads the Megamos crypto values off a working key and writes a copy so the BCM2 accepts it without a full security reset or IMMO adaptation.
He sat on the tailgate eating a protein bar and watching me cut the HU66 blade. That was it. No drama.
He drove off with two working keys for a fraction of what the dealer wanted. That second key also means if he ever loses one, the next replacement is a simple add-a-key job instead of all-keys-lost, which saves a good chunk more down the line.
