Then the part that actually matters: testing every function. Proximity unlock on both front handles. Push-button start. Trunk release. Lock-on-walk-away. All of it working on that gravel drive with grapevines in the background.
She stared at the dash for a second like she expected a warning light. Nothing. Clean start. She went back to arranging centerpieces and I packed up. A dealer would have meant a tow and a wait measured in days, not minutes. She got it done on site for a fraction of that.
