Saturday night in Camarillo, near the Pleasant Valley Bike Trail, a guy at a resort hotel had a 2013 Audi Q5 sitting in the valet lane and zero keys to move it. He had been at a conference, handed his fob to the valet, got his car back, and somewhere between the ballroom and the parking lot the IYZFBSB802 vanished. Probably sitting on a table in a locked conference room nobody was reopening until Monday.
The concierge told him smart key replacement was dealer-only. Dealer was closed until Monday. He was stuck.
I drove out. Push-to-start all-keys-lost on a BCM2 Audi is not a quick clone job. The car will not even power up without wirelessly detecting a registered fob. No backup key slot, no mechanical override for the ignition. If both fobs are gone, the car feels bricked.
I pulled the BCM2 module and read the EEPROM with my ACDP tool. Sent the security data to the calculation server, got the crypto return file, generated the new key data, and performed OBD key learning to register a fresh 4-button proximity fob. Then I cut the HU66 emergency insert blade so he had a physical backup for the driver door.
He started the car in the valet lane. Saturday night, not Monday afternoon. For a fraction of what the dealer would have charged after the wait.
