Got called to Ormond Beach for a 2022 HR-V with a "key not detected" message that came and went. Owner had already changed the battery twice.
The MLBHLIK6-1T remote would work from three feet away, then nothing. Push-to-start would recognize the key one minute, throw an error the next. She'd been holding the fob against the start button like the manual says, which worked half the time.

But the real issue was the battery holder. One contact had slight corrosion where moisture got in. Common on beach cars. Cleaned the contacts with DeoxIT, installed a fresh Panasonic CR1616, and sealed the case properly.
