2002 Jaguar S-Type
Key Replacement - Save vs Dealer in Ventura County

2002 Jaguar S-Type Remote Flip Key Replacement - Fast, Affordable & Professional

I got a call from Hueneme Beach on a weeknight. A woman had parked near the water earlier that afternoon and somewhere between the beach and her bag, the only key to her 2002 Jaguar S-Type had vanished. No spare at home. She had the car, she had her ID, and she had her phone almost out of battery.

First thing I asked: do you have the VIN? She didn't know where to look. I told her to shine her phone flashlight through the lower left corner of the windshield, driver's side. She found it in about twenty seconds.

That number told me everything I needed before I even pulled out of my driveway. I knew the key type, I knew what blank to bring, and I knew it was an all-keys-lost job so I packed accordingly.

When I got there she was sitting on the hood. She'd already been through the denial phase and was just quiet at that point. I got into the vehicle, read the data I needed, and worked under the parking lot lights. Cut the blade, programmed the fob, tested every button, verified the car started and locked correctly.

She drove home. The dealer, which was closed anyway, would have added a tow to whatever they quoted her in the morning. She called me instead, and it was handled the same night for a fraction of what they wanted.

The VIN is the single most useful thing you can give me when you call.
