Near Bubbling Springs Park in Port Hueneme, a travel blogger had her 2004 Jaguar S-Type sitting at a coastal pulloff with a snapped emergency blade stuck inside the driver door lock.
The fob battery had died. She pulled out the HU66 profile emergency blade, slid it into a cylinder that probably hadn't been turned since the car was new, and the tip snapped clean off inside the wafers. Another locksmith told her the lock had to be drilled out. New cylinder, new key, full replacement.

The fob electronics were still alive, just a dead CR2032. I used my VVDI2 to pull the transponder data from the 4D 60 chip through the existing key housing. Then I went after the broken blade fragment with my Lishi HU66 pick, working it out without scoring the wafer surfaces. Once I had the fragment clear, I decoded the lock in place, cut a fresh emergency blade on my mobile setup, and rebuilt everything into a new NHVWB1U241 flip key shell with part number 1X43-15K601-AB.
No drilling. No cylinder swap. The lock looked exactly the same as before I touched it.
She watched the whole thing from about two feet away, arms crossed, like she was waiting for something to go wrong. When the doors locked and unlocked clean on the first click, she just uncrossed her arms and nodded. That was it.
