She walked out of a restaurant on Thompson Boulevard after a late dinner and her purse was gone. Someone grabbed it off the back of her chair. Keys, wallet, phone, all of it. She borrowed the hostess's phone, called the police, then her husband, then me. She works in the ER. She could not be stuck without a vehicle.
Her 2020 Jeep Gladiator was sitting in the lot next door with zero keys. Her husband called the dealer. They said they could order a fob, part number 68416784AC, but it would be three to five business days. The truck would need a tow in. And since the stolen key could still unlock the doors and start the engine, they suggested rekeying on top of it.
I got there that night. All-keys-lost after a theft is a different job than adding a spare. I need to wipe the entire key memory in the wireless control module so the stolen fob is dead to the vehicle. I hooked up my IM608 through the OBD port, ran the SGW bypass at the knee panel, accessed module 6E, erased all stored key data, and programmed two new OHT1130261 fobs from scratch. Decoded the door lock with my Lishi JE1, cut the emergency blades for both fobs, and tested every function: passive entry on all four doors, push-button start, lock, unlock, remote start, and panic.
She drove home that night. The stolen fob cannot start or unlock that truck anymore.
