Got a call from a guy over near Harry A. Lyon Park in Ventura. His 2018 Range Rover Evoque was sitting in his driveway doing nothing. Dashboard said "Smart Key Not Found," start button completely dead. He had both original KOBJTF10A fobs, fresh CR2032 batteries in each one. Neither worked.

I got there and ran diagnostics through the OBD port with JLR SDD. The KVM was online but had lost its key pairing data, which happens on these L538 Evoques more than Land Rover likes to admit. There is a technical service bulletin, LTB00735, covering KVM communication faults on this generation. The module itself was fine. It just needed the keys re-registered.
I cleared the old key data, reprogrammed both his KOBJTF10A fobs back to the vehicle, synced the passive entry on all four doors, tested the tailgate gesture sensor, and confirmed start-stop worked from both driver zones. Took about 35 minutes total.
He stood in his driveway holding both fobs like he was afraid to set them down. I told him the KVM fuse trick for next time, just in case. He drove off to get groceries. No tow truck, no dealer wait, no parts order.
