A guy in Silver Strand called me on a Tuesday morning. He had just landed from a long overseas backpacking trip, got to his car in the airport parking structure, and the fob was completely dead. His key had never been de-learned. The car had never forgotten him. It just needed a fresh battery and a quick resync.

He drove out of that garage the same morning. The dealer comparison came up on its own, the way it always does when someone realizes how close they were to a two-day wait and a bill that was going to be a lot heavier than what I charged.
