I got a call from a guy parked near the AutoZone on the Eastside. He had already been through it. Reseated it, ran the programming sequence from scratch to make sure the fob was properly registered, then walked every function. All four buttons. Both door handles. Start button. Clean every time.
He didn't need a new fob. He needed the job done right the first time. I told him what the dealer would have charged for the same work, and he just shook his head. The price difference alone would have covered a nice dinner on State Street.
