His Transponder Key, FCC ID , started the car on the first try. I cut him a spare too so he wouldn't be in this situation again.
The whole job took about 45 minutes and came out to around $133. Dealer would have been roughly $311 plus a tow. He drove home from that same lot with two working keys.
