An older couple at their home near Lake Poway called about their 2011 Chevrolet Equinox. Getting to the dealer was a real problem for them, not just an inconvenience. I used my B106 Lishi to decode the lock and verify the blade, then cut a fresh key and programmed the transponder through OBD. Their remote, FCC ID OHT01060512, was a 5-button fob that I paired at the same time. I showed them how to check the fob battery so they'd know before it died on them again.
They didn't have to leave the house, call anyone for a ride, or figure out transportation to a dealer on the highway. Their total was $178 for two keys. The dealer quoted $374 for one, plus the problem of actually getting there. I set up in their driveway and handed them both keys before lunch.
