2012 Jeep Cherokee Smart Key Replacement - Fast, Affordable & Professional
A mom out in Fanita Ranch had her timing figured out to the minute. Dance class three days a week, school runs both ends of the day, one vehicle, zero margin. She was not losing a half-day to a dealer waiting room.
Her 2012 Jeep Cherokee fob had been showing a crack for weeks. Not the end of the world yet, but she knew what a cracked Fobik housing eventually becomes. She called the dealer. They told her to drop the car off. She has three kids and one vehicle. Dropping it off somewhere is not a real option.
She called me instead and we figured out a window: 4pm at the dance studio lot while the kids were in class.
I decoded her lock on site, transferred the electronics out of the cracked shell into a fresh housing, cut a replacement blade to the vehicle, and programmed the new key through the OBD port. Every button tested clean. Lock, unlock, the works. The whole job wrapped before rehearsal let out.
The kids climbed in asking about ice cream. Nobody knew a thing had happened. The dealer wanted the car for hours and was going to charge her a good chunk more than she paid me. She kept the time, kept the money, and kept the schedule.
