Your 2003 Lexus ES uses a Remote Head Key with 3 buttons on the face, a CR1616 battery inside for the proximity signal, and a small emergency blade that slides out for manual door entry. Inside is a transponder chip that communicates with the car's smart ECU every time you press start.
