2011 Lexus ES Smart Key Replacement - Fast, Affordable & Professional
She was parked off West Mission Avenue, right on the Westside Escondido side, and she'd already done her homework before I pulled up.
She told me she'd been burned by an unlicensed operator once before. No company name on the receipt, a phone number that stopped working inside a week, no accountability of any kind. So this time she looked me up on the BSIS website before she called. She saw the license, saw it was active, and then called. I respect that. It's exactly what you should do.
She had a 2011 Lexus ES and needed a spare smart key. Not an emergency, just a smart move after her husband had taken the only key to another state and she realized she was one bad day away from being completely locked out.
I had the right fob for the vehicle in the van. I cut the emergency insert key on site, verified the blade operation in the door cylinder, then connected to the vehicle through the diagnostic port to register the new smart key to the immobilizer. The system walks through its own timed sequence before it accepts new key data. You can't rush that part, so I let it run while I walked her through what was happening.
When it finished, I tested every function, the touch sensors on both front door handles, the start button, and all four fob buttons. Everything came back clean, no fault codes left in the system, no residual errors.
She got a receipt with a real license number, a real phone number, and my company name on the van parked behind hers. The dealer had quoted her a number that made her put the appointment off for two months. She said what I charged her was enough under that quote to make her wish she'd called me in January.
