Interference from certain phone cases, NFC cards, or key pouches held right next to the fob can also disrupt the signal.

The other possibility is that the fob itself has lost its registration state, which can happen after a deep battery drain. In that case the battery reads fine now, but the pairing was interrupted before you swapped it. Re-enrollment through a diagnostic tool fixes that, and it's a quick job if that's what it turns out to be.

Can I use my phone or a spare key to get into the car if my 2024 Lexus ES smart key stops working completely?
