2022 Lexus ES Smart Key Replacement - Fast, Affordable & Professional
I got a call from a parking garage just off the Spring Valley border side of Lemon Grove, late on a weeknight. The guy had one fob. Past tense.
He'd been down there a while, retraced every step twice, checked the elevator floor, the stairwell, the space next to his car. Gone. He didn't have his registration in his wallet, didn't know his VIN off the top of his head, and had already started looking up tow companies because he didn't know what else to do. He was calm on the phone but you could hear the kind of tired that comes from a bad couple of hours.
I told him to look at the bottom corner of the windshield on the driver's side. He found the VIN in about ten seconds. Then I had him pull up his insurance app, and his registration info was right there.
That VIN told me everything. I already knew this was a 2022 ES, already knew the key type, already knew what fob to bring and what the programming job looked like. I pulled the correct fob from my van stock, had my equipment loaded, and was moving before we hung up.
I programmed the new fob under the garage lights with him standing there watching. The old fob got wiped from the system so it can't start that car even if it turns up somewhere. We tested every button, walked both doors, confirmed the start, and he was done.
He drove home that night. The dealer was closed, and even if they weren't, he would have needed a tow first and an appointment after. The VIN is all I need. If you're in that situation, text it to me before I arrive.
