Guy called me from an office park off Rose Avenue in College Park, Oxnard, around 10 pm during tax season. His only key for a 2009 A5 was gone. Checked his desk, the break room, the parking lot. Nothing. He was about to call an Uber home and deal with it in the morning.

All-keys-lost on the B8 platform means reading the EEPROM from the cluster to pull the component security bytes, then generating a dealer key file and registering through OBD. The cluster on the 2009 A5 uses the Bosch RB8 board, so the pin read went clean.

I built the IYZFBSB802 flip key, cut the HU66 blade, and programmed it under the parking lot lights. Lock, unlock, trunk, panic, all four buttons, then a cold start to confirm immobilizer handshake.

He drove home that night. The dealer would have needed a tow and an appointment days later. His VIN told me everything before I arrived, and the job was done in the parking lot.
