A graphic designer in Oxnard, over by Esplanade Shopping Center, had a 2016 A5 with a cracked smart fob. The housing had split at the seam from a drop on the garage floor, and the emergency HU66 blade was rattling loose inside the shell.

Then the part that actually matters: testing every function. Remote lock, remote unlock, trunk release, comfort access proximity detection on both front doors, and push-to-start. All clean.
She stood there watching the dash, like she expected it to throw a fault. It didn't.
Her fob worked exactly like it did before the crack. The only thing that changed was the plastic around it, done on site, for a fraction of what the dealer quoted for a full replacement she never needed.
