2007 Chrysler Pacifica Remote Head Key Replacement - Fast, Affordable & Professional
A guy out near Nyeland Acres called me on a Tuesday morning. He lived at an assisted living facility and drove a 2007 Chrysler Pacifica that had been modified for wheelchair access. His remote had stopped responding and he wanted a spare cut before the whole thing gave out on him.
Getting to a dealer wasn't a matter of scheduling an appointment. It was a logistical problem. The vehicle was his adapted transportation. Without it working, he wasn't going anywhere, and towing a wheelchair-accessible vehicle across town just to sit in a dealer queue wasn't a real option for him.
I pulled into his parking space that morning with everything I needed. I decoded the key blade from the lock, cut a new remote head key, and programmed both the original and the new spare through the OBD port. Tested every button on both keys, confirmed the ignition recognized them, and walked him through swapping the CR2032 so he'd know the signs if the battery started going soft again.
He didn't leave the building. I handed him two working keys before his lunch. The dealer had quoted him a number that would have covered a lot more than just a key, and that was before factoring in the problem of actually getting there. This is exactly the kind of job I built the mobile setup for.
