2024 Genesis G90
Key Replacement - Save vs Dealer in Ventura County

2024 Genesis G90 Smart Key Replacement - Fast, Affordable & Professional

I was already on Eucalyptus Hill for another call when the G90 owner reached me. He had driven through the gate and was parked on the street near his house, which made things easy.

He was an orthopedic surgeon. Long hours, early mornings, no patience for a dealer appointment. He had one working fob on his 2024 Genesis G90 and wanted a spare before that single key became a problem. He had already called the Genesis dealer. They quoted him a number that made him pause, told him to schedule a day to bring the car in, and offered no flexibility on timing.

He found me while sitting in his driveway.

I met him before he left for the hospital. He handed me the one working fob while I pulled the VIN, verified the key specs, and got into the OBD port. The PIN extraction took a few minutes. Programming the new fob took about twenty more. I cut the emergency blade to his door, tested every button, walked both door handles, and confirmed the vehicle recognized the new key at the push of the start button.

He was on his way to the hospital before the appointment window the dealer had offered would have even opened.

The dealer comparison came up naturally at the end. He said he would have paid it if he had to. He just did not have to.
