I cut a fresh HD103 blank on my mobile machine, tested it in the door, the ignition, and the trunk. All three turned smooth.
The whole thing took maybe 20 minutes, and he never left the carport. He kept looking at the broken pieces of his old key like he couldn't believe that was the entire problem. It was. A cut key, done on the spot, for a fraction of what the dealer wanted before you even count the tow.
