Over in Oxnard near Five Points Shopping Center, a guy called me about his 2015 Veloster. He bought it used a few months back and only ever got one smart key with it. That single fob went missing somewhere between a food run and walking back to the lot. He retraced his steps, checked inside every store, nothing. First thing I did was pick the door with my HY18 Lishi and decode every wafer position so I had exact bitting for the emergency insert blade. Then I plugged into the OBD port and ran the all-keys-lost procedure for the Hyundai SMARTRA 3 immobilizer module. That wipes any old key registrations and lets me write a fresh SY5HMFNA04 proximity fob from scratch. Part number 95440-3N250, four buttons, Hitag2/AES chip inside.
Cut the blade, programmed the fob, tested lock, unlock, trunk, panic, and push-button start. Then I made him a spare so he would not be in the same spot again.
He stood there watching the engine turn over like he half expected it not to work. Whole job, lock decode to engine running, took about 45 minutes in that same parking lot. A fraction of what the dealer quoted him, and no tow truck involved.
