A guy in Oxnard, over near Mandalay Village Marketplace, called me around 12:30 in the morning. His 2016 Veloster was sitting in the driveway, push-to-start, and the only smart key he had just stopped being recognized. Dashboard showing "Key Not Detected." Dead in the water.
