2010 Jeep Cherokee Smart key Replacement - Fast, Affordable & Professional

Saturday morning. Farmers market in Camarillo. A bakery owner with a 2010 Jeep Cherokee walked back to her vehicle after setting up her booth and the key fob wouldn't unlock the doors. Dead buttons, dead remote, push-to-start gave her nothing. The dealer was closed until Monday, her display was set up, her product was on the table, and her vehicle was stuck.

She needed it fixed now, not in two days. The only number that answered was mine.

I got to the market lot near Spanish Hills neighborhood in about 40 minutes. I tested her fob first and the CR2032 battery was dead, plus the transponder was corrupted signal that a simple battery swap wouldn't fix. I used my VVDI Key Tool to generate a fresh transponder chip and build a new fob matched to her vehicle. Her new fob, FCC ID IYZ-C01C, was a 6-button smart key with remote start. I programmed through OBD and tested lock, unlock, start, and remote start.

She finished the market day and drove home with no issues. Total was 185. Dealer would have been 395 on Monday at the earliest. Weekends aren't special pricing for me. I charge the same rate Saturday morning as Tuesday afternoon.
