2012 Jeep Cherokee Smart Key Replacement - Fast, Affordable & Professional
A woman who worked night shifts at an urgent care clinic in Camarillo finished her shift, walked out to the employee lot, and her 2012 Jeep Cherokee's fob was dead. Not a battery issue.
The fob itself had failed. Push-button start gave her nothing. The dash threw a key-not-detected warning and that was it. Dealer was closed, and when she called the next morning, the earliest appointment was Friday. It was Monday night, just past midnight.
She found me, called, and I was in the lot before 1 a.m.
I connected to the OBD port, ran the key learning procedure, and registered her replacement fob to the vehicle. While she sat in the passenger seat I walked every button, tested the start, and showed her the backup start procedure for this model in case a fob ever failed her again out on Las Posas Estates Road with nobody around.
Thirty-five minutes after she called, she was driving home.
She mentioned what the dealer quoted. I'll just say she kept a good chunk of that in her pocket, and she didn't have to wait until Friday to get it.
